FCRC Research Seminar, 5 May 2019
This Seminar will feature research presentations on:
• the six-month probation period served by female convicts on arrival In Van Diemen’s Land, from 1844 to transportation’s end in 1853.
• the HMS Anson hulk, moored near Hobart, which served as probation station for 250 to 520 female convicts at any one time.
Optional visit to the Maritime Museum during the extended lunch break.
