Women's Lenten Retreat Day

Join the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia and the Sisterhood Catholic Women’s Movement for a Lenten Retreat Day. The day will focus on the theme, "Nature, Grace and Glory: Imago Dei Revealed in Us." The retreat will include talks, discussion opportunities, Eucharistic Adoration, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, morning tea, lunch, and more.

Glory to God, whose power is at work in us can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine. (Ephesians 3:20)

In our desire for holiness we can be tempted to neglect the primacy of Christ and the primacy of His grace at work in our lives that has the power to form and shape our interior life.  The saints have much to teach us about the primacy of grace, both through the holiness of their lives and their victory over temptation, trials and disappointments.  We tend to forget that our original state was a state of grace, original grace, which defines more than anything else who we are and Whose we are.  A better understanding of original grace at work in us leads to a greater dependence on God.  Greater dependence on God gives us confidence and hope, and leads to greater freedom, peace and stability in our daily journey with Christ.
