Big Dance - Arts Learning Festival 2019
Join a free Big Dance workshop and be a part of Arts Learning Festival 2019’s closing performance.
Following the success of Big Dance across Australia in 2018, Ausdance Victoria will be running two free Big Dance workshops, followed by a mass performance as part of Arts Learning Festival’s Community Day on Saturday 4 May.
The sessions are open to all ages and abilities. No dance experience required.
Come along your family and friends for a fun time.
Workshop 1 │11.30am - 1.00pm, Birrarung Marr (lawn right next to ArtPlay)
Workshop 2 │2.00pm - 3.30pm, Birrarung Marr (lawn right next to ArtPlay)
Performance, 4.00pm, Atrium Federation Square
If you would like to participate in the performance, please make sure you select the "Performance" when registering as we will email everyone with more information and contact participants if there are any changes to venue/time.
The Big Dance is choreographed by acclaimed choreographers Frances Rings and Craig Bary, with original music by Huey Benjamin. This beautiful choreography has elements of Indigenous Contemporary Dance, and carries the theme of unity.
What to bring:
Red t-shirt/top, bottle of water, and wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
