About the conference
The meeting is focused on updating clinicians on the current and changing practise of trauma medicine.
The program consists of a series of lectures, workshops and panel discussions.
It aims to cater to an audience from a wide range of backgrounds including : Anaesthetics, Intensive Care, Emergency Care workers, Paramedics, Nursing Staff and General Practitioners.
A detailed program will be updated and published on the website.

- Non-technical skills and training in the trauma setting
- Trauma airway management
- Thoracic / chest trauma
- Ophthalmic trauma
- Trauma stabilisation
- Novel technologies and their use in trauma care

Rusutsu Ski Resort - Hokkaido , Japan
The Hokkaido Trauma conference will be hosted at the world acclaimed Rusutsu Ski Resort which is a fully serviced resort. Restaurants, shopping malls, entertainment complexes, swimming and wave pool, spas and a merry-go-round are all within the resort.
Accommodation is available at the Resort Hotel or Rusutsu Towers which is connected to the main resort by monorail. Both properties offer excellent accommodation with spacious rooms and great views.

What the registration fee covers
Sunday evening: Registration, distribution of Abstract Booklet and Opening Ceremony Drinks in the Rusutsu Resort Convention Centre
Monday – Friday: Conferencing of four to six hours per day in the Rusutsu Resort Convention Centre. Light refreshments will be available throughout.
Friday Evening: Closing Refreshments
The International Hokkaido Trauma Conference is now a paperless conference. Conference abstracts will be provided in a web application for download.
Delegates may request a paper copy of the abstract booklet, at the additional cost of $50 plus GST. This request must be made at the time of registration.
