Reablement & Wellness: Taking the First Steps

Date: Wednesday 22 May 2019
Times: 9am-1.30pm
Location: Norths Leagues Club, 12 Abbott St, Cammeray

Reablement and wellness are hot topics at the moment. Not only because they are the focus of Australian Government policy, but also because they have also been shown to reduce dependency on support services and increase consumer independence, autonomy and well-being.

Implementing a Wellness and Reablement approach within your organisation can result in a win-win situation for your staff and most importantly your customers.

Our May Forum will focus on implementing reablement & wellness, from the time of conception to the process of evaluation and reporting.

Our guest speakers will look at the process, strategies & challenges of:

  • Embedding reablement & wellness within the organisation
  • Getting buy-in from staff and your Board
  • Implementing a new way of working
  • Researching what initiatives will work
  • Designing programs to ensure customer involvement
  • Determining what success looks like
  • Recruiting program participants
  • Evaluating & measuring program outcomes

Who to attend to Regional Forum?
This workshop is for CEOs, Board members, Managers, Coordinators, Team Leaders, Front-line Workers, Case Managers, Support Facilitators & Planners who are interested in implementing reablement approaches within an organisation to empower both staff and service users.
