Wesley Wills Day - Gymea 20 June 2019
Wesley Wills Day - Gymea
Important Information - Please read this before booking your appointment
Professional Wills from just $60
Thursday 20 June 2019
Hello, and welcome to the Wesley Wills Day - Gymea booking page. If you, or any members of your family, have never prepared a Will, or if your Will needs to be updated, this is an excellent opportunity to have a simple Will prepared in consultation with a lawyer from only $60*. (See below for complex Wills)
You can book your appointment and pay here to reserve your spot, but first...
The information you read in this section (there is more below the map) will ensure you are well prepared for the Wills day and that you gain the most from your experience. The lawyers at this event are taking time out from their busy local practices to help you, and us, and we greatly appreciate their involvement.
Thank you too, for supporting Wesley Mission in this way. The income from each Will that is prepared helps to support Wesley Mission's community services.
This Wills Day may also be an opportunity for you to consider leaving a gift (of any size) in your Will to support Wesley Mission's future care of children, families, those suffering from mental health, the homeless and others in real need. But, there is no obligation, and we ask that you take care of your family and loved ones first. After your family has been looked after, a small percentage of what is left could make a real difference, and we will use your gift carefully and cost effectively so it has the greatest impact.
57 Manchester St
Gymea NSW 2227
There are two time slots for each appointment, (a) and (b). This is because there are two solicitors in the morning session and two in the afternoon session. Appointments are for twenty minutes. This is sufficient for an initial consultation and to provide the solicitor with your instructions, from which they will prepare your draft Will. You will then meet with the solicitor shortly after this to have your finished Will signed and witnessed. We recommend meeting with the solicitor at their offices for this final step in the Will writing process.
It is common for couples to meet with the solicitor at the same appointment, although separate appointments can be made if you prefer. It is not necessary for both to attend the appointment (this may be due to work commitments for example), as long as the one attending brings the other person's instructions to the appointment, so the solicitor can prepare both draft Wills.
Once you have selected your appoinment time and paid, we will send you an information pack which will help you to prepare for your time with the solicitor. Your pack contains confirmation of your appointment, and instruction forms. By completing these beforehand, and bringing them with you, they will help the solicitor to prepare your Will following your initial consultation.
What to Bring with you to your appointment
- Identification - this is an essential requirement from our solicitors, as without it your appointment may be postponed or cancelled. Driver's Licence, and Medicare Card are preferred. Passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate are additional methods of identification.
- Your current Will if this is to be updated. There may be relevant information that can be brought into your new Will.
- Names, addresses and occupations of people you are appointing as Powers of Attorney and/or Enduring Guardianship.
- Your client instruction form, provided by Wesley Mission. The solicitor uses this information to prepare your Will.
*Complex Wills: If you know or are confident that your Will is going to be complex, such as providing for a blended family, or including family trusts, our lawyers will be pleased to assess your situation and provide a competitive cost estimation to prepare your Will. The lawyer will take your payment to Wesley Mission into account in preparing your quote, and the balance is payable to the law firm when you sign your documents. The preparation of your documents will take longer than we would expect our lawyers to volunteer their time, hence the potential for a higher cost.
Paying for Extra Documents. Please note that the lawyers will not be able to release other documents prepared through the Wills day service if payment is not received at the time these are signed.
We look forward to seeing you at the Wills day, and, if you have any questions, we are only a phone call or email away - 9263 5548 or email@example.com
