Virtual MyTime Meeting Pilot
Would it would be easier for you to regularly connect with your peers from home? Would you like to give it a go?
ACD is looking for parents and carers to participate in a FREE pilot of virtual MyTime. Facilitated weekly online get togethers will be scheduled between August and October 2019. Sessions will run for two hours, in the late afternoon, evening and/or on the weekend.
As part of this pilot program ACD will work with you to provide video conferencing technical support and coaching in readiness for you to take part in five facilitated sessions; making virtual MyTime peer support a reality.
Session times will be advised when attendee preferences have been collated.
MyTime is a facilitated peer support program for parents and carers of children with disability, developmental delay and chronic medical condition. MyTime groups provide a place to socialise, to discuss, to gain and share information, and to support and be supported by other parents and carers.
Our Mission: To use virtual meeting room (VMR) technology to break through some of the barriers that distance and lack of transport, services, and face to face communication pose for people with disability and their families when needing to access services and supports.
The MyTime program is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services (DSS) and coordinated nationally by the Parenting Research Centre.
This will be running virtually from your own home or other location.
The organiser will be sent the details of this message.
