BNWPS Commotion

Brunswick North West Primary are proudly hosting the Commotion, a community dance and music event at the Brunswick Town Hall. All members of the BNWPS school and local community are invited to come and join in!

This event will be in the tradition of Bush-dances popular in Melbourne throughout the 70s & 80s, but with added multicultural and student-created elements. In this tradition, it will be a participatory dance rather than a concert and all attendees will be involved!

Date & Time

Friday, 14th of June, 2019
6pm until 8:30pm
Please note: you can arrive and leave at any time, and there will be areas available away from the dancing.

Location

Brunswick Town Hall
233 Sydney Rd, Brunswick, Vic 3056

Cost

$5 per person.
Tickets need to be purchased for all attendees, BNWPS students included. These funds will be used to pay for the venue hire and additional costs, and any extra will be added to the Music Budget.

We would like all interested community members to attend. If you are in the position donate a ticket during your purchase, we will then offer these tickets to members of our community who may not otherwise be able to attend due to financial reasons.

Volunteers

Volunteers will not be required to buy tickets, and we would appreciate any support. If you can help out with any of the following please click here to contact Jack Madin.

  • Drivers (with big cars!) for moving equipment from the school
  • Ticket sellers/food stall attendees/decorators
  • Photographs/Video & local community promotion
  • Musicians to join the scratch band that will be playing the music for the dancers

Food

Bring a plate.
Please bring a plate of finger food or treats to share.
