No Bull Therapy (NBT)

hero
No Bullshit Therapy (NBT) strives toward honesty in working relationships. It equips participants with an understanding of the philosophy and principles that guide NBT, and presents ideas about developing authentic relationships with clients.

What you will learn

NBT is ideal for clients who:

  • Do not like therapy or the idea of therapy (even if they have never had it)
  • Have had traumatic experiences but do not trust ‘do-gooders’ to help them
  • Have had previous unsatisfactory treatment, counselling or therapy
  • Are difficult to engage in the process of therapy
  • Do not see themselves as a client

This workshop equips participants with an understanding of the philosophy and principles that guide NBT, and presents ideas about developing authentic relationships with clients. Participants are invited to reflect on, and challenge, their own therapeutic practices, and to experience and practice NBT skills in a supportive environment.

On completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the philosophy and principles that guide NBT
  • Identify and apply strategies for developing authentic relationships with clients
  • Apply a range of skills consistent with NBT to their work with clients
