For the Foodies - an engaging journey into landscaping with edible plants, applying the principles of permaculture to your urban space and discovering how to improve the soil fertility in your patch.

Speakers:

  • Marcus Ragus, Horticulturalist, landscape designer, teacher and presenter.  Marcus's presentation is titled:  Foodscaping Towards Tomorrow;
  • Hannah Moloney, Permaculture designer, educator and presenter.  Hannah's presentation is titled:  Urban Permaculture in Action; and
  • Shane Newitt, Tasmanian Farmer and Pumpkinologist.  Shane will share his secrets to growing the largest pumpkins in Australia and how improving soil fertility can improve crop health in your garden.

Time / Date: 10:30 am on Friday 2 August 2019

The duration of the lecture is estimated to be one and half (1.5) hours.  Doors will open approximately 15 minutes beforehand.

Parking will be available on site.  Please drive through the main gates and follow the directions of staff.

Dress: Neat Casual

Cost: $25.00 per head (incl GST) (Please note that a TryBooking processing fee will also be applied upon checkout.)

All revenue from the tour and lecture programs is directed to the maintenance and preservation of the Government House Estate.
