‘You rise in perfection on the horizon of the sky,
Living Aten, who started life.’
Pharaoh Akhenaten

Almost every facet of our lives is shaped by the movement of the sun and the moon.
It's no wonder that composers and poets throughout history have been fascinated by their beauty, their power, and their mystery.

Canberra Choral Society is delighted to present this intimate performance of glorious music inspired by the heavens: including music of the 12th century mystic Hildegard of Bingen, the stately grace of Edward Elgar's Lux Aeterna, Scottish composer James Macmillan's uplifting motet O Radiant Dawn, the work of Parisian prodigy Lili Boulanger, and works from contemporary composers Eriks Ešenvalds and Australian, Alice Chance.

Join us in the beautiful surrounds of Albert Hall
as we take you on a journey skyward, exploring light, life, and the great expanse beyond.

Musical Director  Dan Walker
Pianist  Anthony Smith
