Places of cultural significance enrich people’s lives, often providing a deep and inspirational sense of connection to community and landscape, to the past and to lived experiences.
Notions of what is culturally significant are not necessarily fixed, however, and may change over time alongside societal values or as a response to modernity. What then are the implications for the conservation of places of cultural significance in Australia?
