"Art and Earth Care" - Care for our common home.

ART AND EARTH CARE – 5th October, 9am-3pm. $30, includes meals and materials.

The day will use themes from the ecumenical Season of Creation, looking at the interconnectedness of God, Humanity and the Environment through the lenses of art, meditation and scripture to deepen our commitment to caring for our common home. The day will be guided by Rev Douglas Jones, resident Scriptural Scholar, and artist Peter Hunter.

Join us for a day of prayer, meditation, biblical reflection and art.  A contemplative treat for all people interested.

Hosted at Kenmore Uniting Church, Art and Earth Care is a fitting end to the ecumenical Season of Creation and offers something for all levels of interest. Rev Douglas Jones, resident Scriptural Scholar, will bring us biblical insights into God and CreationWisdom and Creation, and Love and CreationArtist Peter Hunter will use his own works to draw the personal out of the theological, and contemplate the sacred through the medium of art. Participants will also have a chance to create their own 'natural labyrinth' for continued meditation and reflection. Morning tea and lunch will be provided. A full program of the day will be provided toward the date. 
The day has also been granted as 3.5hours of accreditation towards Catholic teachers' personal development/ continuing education points. Certificates of completion will be provided for all participants.
