ADOHTA Vic Spring Brunch CPD and AGM

We are excited to invite you to attend our Spring Brunch CPD & AGM! Enjoy coffee and a delicious cafe style breakfast in the beautiful and quaint cafe and fine food merchant Old Man Drew.

Ms Shae Beaton will be discussing the chronic oral side effects induced by radiotherapy to the head and neck region.
Dr Roisin McGrath will be discussing building capacity to promote oral health for people living with severe mental illness.
1.5 hours scientific CPD 
1 hour non-scienfic CPD for those who choose to stay for the AGM
The newly renovated and revamped cafe and fine food merchant Old Man Drew is housed in a stunning building that has stood since 1863. It has a long and interesting history with former lives as a grocery store, wine bar, Penfolds wines and a used truck business. 
We hope you can learn something new and enjoy catching up with old and new friends in this lovely and unique cafe setting. 
Bio: Ms Shae Beaton graduated from the Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Melbourne in
2015. During her final year of study, she completed an elective study unit on
radiation-induced side effects in patients with head and neck cancer. This unit
included a placement at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, where Shae’s passion for
managing patients with special needs arose. Since graduating, Shae has worked
within the dental oncology unit as an oral health therapist, as well as in the private
sector. Currently, Shae is working four days a week at Peter Mac, including a
research component. Shae is also demonstrating part-time at the University of
Melbourne. In her spare time, Shae enjoys going to the gym and walking her golden
retriever Jax!
Bio:Dr Roisin McGrath is a Lecturer in Oral Health at the Melbourne Dental School and Value Based Health Care Implementation Lead at Dental Health Services Victoria. She is also an accredited Mental Health First Aid instructor. Roisin has 30 years of experience in the oral health field and has worked in a range of clinical and non-clinical settings, in both the UK and Australia. In addition to her dental qualifications (dental assistant, dental hygienist and dental therapist), Roisin has a Graduate Certificate in International Health a Master of Public Health (Sexual Health) and a PhD in oral health promotion.

Should your circumstances change after purchasing a ticket, and you can no longer attend the CPD event, we will gladly provide a refund with a weeks notice (by the 5th of October). Refunds will not be provided for "no shows" on the day of the event or for a change of mind after the 5th of October.

In the event of the event being cancelled by ADOHTA Vic, a full refund will be given.
