This 20hr, 3 day TCTSY Foundation Workshop will introduce you to the core concepts and applications of the highly regarded, evidence based yoga intervention for PTSD and Complex Trauma - Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga.
This workshop is intended to inspire yoga teachers to make their classes more trauma-informed and to support those working in the mental health field to bring the body into treatment when working with people affected by PTSD, developmental, and/or complex trauma. Facilitated by Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and TCTSY Facilitator, Supervisor, and Licenced Trainer Edwina Kempe, this workshop is the only Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Workshop/training in QLD accredited by the Center for Trauma and Embodiment and David Emerson. You will learn:
- The latest trauma theories and neurophysiology
- Theoretical underpinnings and methodology of the TCTSY model
- The research and evidence base involving TCTSY
- How to apply TCTSY principles to your practice
Friday 12pm-5pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am-5.30pm

Please Note: This workshop satisfies one of the entrance requirements for certified Yoga Teachers or Mental Health Clinicians into: the Trauma Center at JRI's 300hour certification program in TCTSY.
