Let us help you find your ginga, boost your stage confidence and gather a range of techniques, tips, drills and skills to bridge your samba from beginner to intermediate. All levels welcome, not forgetting our seasoned sambistas who have a thirst for continuous tidbits in improving their samba basic, in 2 hours you will hear, trial and see a catalogue of ways to drills your samba, to elevate your own style!

 

Our very own Melbourne Samba Queen, Denise is the choreographer for Sambasita Productions Melbourne, a seasoned Rio Carnaval dancer - including 2019 Passista of Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel, 2018 and 2019 Musa of GRES Renascer de Jacarepaguá and the newly reined Queen/Rainha da Escola for Unidos Da Ponte 2020!

 

Olivia has been teaching samba for over 6 years and currently resident SAMBA instructor at Jungle City Studios for the past 3 years, seeing 100’s of samba enthusiasts pass through the studio’s doors! Teaching first timers through to professional dancers, Olivia is also the Director of Samba Joy Dancers and Dance To Freedom. She has an impeccable understanding of movement and intertwining soul into the samba dance genre.

 

Both Denise and Olivia have had rich, colorful samba journeys, each expressed in uniquely different ways. Both have rooted experiences from Brazil and at the core of what they do, both passionate advocates of wanting to make other samba women feel incredibly awesome!
