HAL (VIC) Oration 2019: Professor Josiah Ober

A presentation by Professor Josiah Ober from Stanford University on "Lessons from the ancient Greeks on relations between States – the limits of rational behaviour".
Professor Ober works on the history of institutions and on legal and political theory, with an emphasis on democracy and on the political thought and practice of the ancient Greek world.
The Oration will be followed by a reception at which drinks and canapes will be served.

There is no charge for this particular event for HAL members and students but registrations are essential.  There are limited spaces for this event so register early.
Members obtain the benefit of attending various members events at  reduced or no cost.
Any person who supports the purposes of the Association who is of Hellenic background, or if not of Hellenic background is a philhellene, is eligible for membership.
