Walking the Walk- Gender Equity: design-led or people-led?
‘Gender Equity’ is a familiar catchphrase in contemporary organisational discourse, but what does it really mean for the architecture and design profession? Is it possible to instil a culture of equity and inclusion in our industry, or is this something that develops organically over time and in step with organisational culture? Is Gender Equity design-led (i.e. affirmative action/quotas) or people-led (meritocracy/individual effort) … or both?
Hear from professionals from both within and outside the architecture and design industry discussing their experiences of organisational Gender Equity and have your say.
Facilitated by John Price, this topic is designed to kick-start the conversation and to get us thinking.
