The course covers a number of emergency situations, including cardiac arrest, can’t intubate/can’t oxygenate, haemorrhage, and anaphylaxis. The curriculum also covers paediatric and obstetric scenarios, communication practice, practical skill refreshers such as airway manipulation and an opportunity to discuss return to work with experienced practitioners.
The course participants are divided into small groups and rotate through high fidelity simulation, part task trainers, problem based learning tailored to
the participants, simulated patients, airway device practice, algorithm practice, and cardiac arrest scenarios.
