Introduction to Group Coaching

St John's Cathedral: Monday 11th November, 8.45am to 12.30pm.
Over the past few years in Brisbane some of us, laity and clergy, have been exploring the principles and practices of Collaborative Leadership in our own contexts, whether that be in parishes, agencies, workplaces or local communities. In this workshop, with Michael Wood, we'll share stories about what we've been doing and learn a simple and effective group coaching process that can be used in many contexts.

Group coaching is a simple and powerful approach to developing a supportive action-learning culture in a group or team, in which we help people to figure out their own answers rather than telling people what they should do.

Michael Wood is an Anglican Priest (23 years). After a career in Human Resource Management in the shipping and banking industries, Michael worked as a parish priest. He now expresses his vocation as a university chaplain and in private practice as a facilitator and leadership coach. Michael is passionate about practicing and teaching nonviolent collaborative leadership which includes the application of dialogic circle processes, coaching and restorative practices in education, churches, communities and workplaces. Michael has degrees is Business (HR) and Divinity and is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC).
