One of the great musical centres of the world, composers from all over Europe made pilgrimage to Venice throughout the 17th century, bringing home lashings of inspiration. A German in Venice explores the music of some of the finest German baroque composers to visit that great city and bring the Italian style home. Music by Castello, Vivaldi, Rosenmüller, Krieger and Handel.
