Learn about the Port River, its changing environment and the work of the Estuary Care Foundation to support nature-based solutions through community action.

An experienced local guide will help you discover the fascinating environment that is literally on our doorstep.

Once you know about these tiles, you can watch and see what comes to live on them over the coming weeks and months.The tour will begin and end at the Port Environment Centre, 27 North Parade, Port Adelaide.

We will start with a short 15 minute presentation at the Port Environment Centre before making our way across to the Fisherman's Wharf area. You are welcome to bring along your lunch to eat during the presentation.This tour is NOT suitable for young children. We will be viewing the seawall tiles from a pontoon platform on the Port River. The pontoon is unfenced and not suitable for young children.Children 10 years and older may attend, but must be accompanied by a guardian and appropriately supervised at all times.The pontoon is accessed via a steep ramp and may provide challenges for those with mobility issues. Please contact the Port Environment Centre if you have any mobility or access concerns.This is an outdoor event and participants need to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Please dress for the weather.BYO hat and water bottle (and lunch if you wish)We will cancel the event if the weather forecast is over 37 DegC and notify you via emailPlease note that the Port Environment Centre building does not have accessible toilets for persons with a disability.
