Introduction to the Family Partnership Model

A series of facilitated seminars (via Zoom platform- hosted by MCRI) that introduce practitioners to the Family Partnership Model with particular focus on building and sustaining a partnership relationship with parents

Delivery: Online (6 x 90 minutes, weekly for 6 weeks)

Price: $330 incl GST

This series of facilitated on-line seminars are informed by the content of the Family Partnership Model and have been adapted to on-line delivery. They are designed to be delivered sequentially with a consistent group of participants, preferably in groups of nine or twelve to enable breakout groups of three.

Content of sessions:

  • An introductory session – Why engage parents? What we know about parent engagement
  • Introduction to the Family Partnership Model
  • Skills involved in engaging and helping families
  • Family ecology – risk and resilience factors
  • Review within a partnership
  • Review of the course and reflecting on my practice 

About the facilitators

Paul Prichard’s career has focused predominantly on the provision of services for individuals and families who view the service system with suspicion. He has made a significant contribution to the family support field influencing approaches to parent engagement across Australia. His work has culminated in a PhD titled Transformations in parenting: New possibilities through peer-led interventions.

Donna Anderson

Donna has an extensive background in early childhood and holds a Diploma in Children’s Services and a Diploma of Business (Community Services and Health Management). Her diverse experiences working as a practitioner, in management roles, and teaching of Child Studies has equipped Donna with a unique understanding of child, family and professional needs within early childhood.

Donna facilitates multiple training programs such as Let’s Read, Group Facilitation, Having difficult conversations, Reflective Practice with CCCH. She has been practicing as a Family Partnership Training facilitator since 2005 and is an accredited Family Partnership Model trainer and supervisor.
