The Guiding Principles that underpin a Cultural Standard

Principles amongst other things are key elements in determining behaviours.  They can be a set of values or rules. Principles are the basic ideas or tenets that explains or controls how something happens or works. They will form the pillars upon which the National Indigenous Cultural Boarding Standard will stand. They will underpin and determine the shape and content of all that follows.

So, what are the principles that should underpin the creation of the National Indigenous Cultural Boarding Standard?

Dr Christine Evans, Associate Professor of Practice, National Centre for Cultural Competence, University of Sydney, drew on her experience in the creation of principles in education standards to deliver an impressive keynote that inspired delegates at the 3rd National Indigenous Education & Boarding Symposium.

Hear Christine’s keynote, the outcomes of the Symposium, and join in the discussion on this important webinar.
