Understanding Autism and Best Practice Support
This training aims to increase your level of understanding, boost your confidence in interacting effectively with people on the autism spectrum, and equip you with ways to apply evidence based strategies within your current job roles and organisations.
The course consists of two sessions, each of two hours’ duration, to be conducted one week apart. There will be some short activities for participants to complete between sessions.
Part 1: Wednesday 17th June 2020, 10:00am to 12:00pm
Part 2: Wednesday 24th June 2020, 10:00am to 12:00pm
Who should attend?
This training is suitable for any person who currently works to support people of any age on the autism spectrum. This may include allied health professionals, educators, disability support staff, disability advocates, health professionals or people in similar roles.
This workshop includes a facilitated discussion with a panel of Autistic Consultants who are passionate and experienced at sharing their personal knowledge of autism with training participants.
