Refund policy: We are unable to provide refunds following the close of bookings (unless in exceptional circumstances), as materials and programming need to be finalised in the lead-up to events based on final numbers.

Part 1: Mt Stromlo Astronomy Night - Saturday 1 August

Online Zoom event 5.30-7.30pm AEST Saturday 1 August at the end of Week 2 of Term 3. 3 x 20 minute talks: Constellations, Our Amazing Universe, and a Journey through our Solar System. Online star-gazing with Dr Brad Tucker from Mt Stromlo Observatory (he’s a Joey Dad too!). Visit www.trybooking.com/BKDIC for more details and to book.

**Bookings for the Joey Mt Stromlo Astronomy Night must close Friday 24 July.**

Part 2: Earth, Sun & Moon online workshops - 3 or 6 August [BOOK ON THIS PAGE]

Online Zoom workshops offered 6-7pm AEST on Monday 3 or Thursday 6 August (ie session repeated twice) during Week 3 of Term 3. Virtual education specialists Fizzics Education will deliver online interactive Earth, Sun and Moon workshops during weekly Joey nights. Due to limited capacity, Scouts from the ACT and surrounding NSW South Coast & Tablelands Region have priority access to these workshops.

How does the Earth, Moon and Sun work in the Solar System? How does Earth’s tilt affect the seasons? What can craters tell us about the Moon’s formation? How do sundials tell the time? What is the difference between a star, planet & moon anyway?

Max 60/workshop. $5/participant (plus 50c booking fee), includes SciScouts: Space event badge/postage. A Zoom link and password, and a list of easy access materials will be emailed to registered participants. Note: Individuals can register, however if Leaders decide to register as a Unit, please let parents know, so they don’t double book. Although siblings may choose to participate on the same device, please note that unless two tickets are purchased, only one badge will be sent.

**Bookings for the Earth, Sun & Moon Workshops must close Friday 24 July.**

Part 3: Destination Moon & Beyond Live Stream Event - Saturday 15 August

SciScouts and Fizzics Education present Destination Moon & Beyond, an online National Science Week event 1-2pm Saturday 15 August, at the end of week 4 of Term 3. Visit www.trybooking.com/BKDOD for details.

**The Zoom tickets for Destination Moon & Beyond are now sold-out. We are currently finalising broadcast options via the SciScouts and Young Stars Facebook pages. You can still purchase a special event badge if you watch via Facebook.**
