Compassion focused therapy foundations
Compassion focused therapy - Foundations for perinatal professionals
ONLINE SIX WEEK COURSE
In this six week training program, participants will gain an overview of the theoretical underpinnings of compassion focused therapy and core compassion-focused skills for working in the perinatal context.
Compassion focused therapy (CFT) is an integrative psychotherapy model that focuses on the cultivation and application of compassion towards the self and others. CFT is built on strong evidence-based foundations, integrating cognitive-behavioural therapy techniques with knowledge drawn from evolutionary, developmental and social psychology, as well as affective neuroscience and Buddhist psychology. Though still relatively young, CFT has a growing evidence base for a variety of clinical disorders and presentations.
