Conductor Nicholas Braithwaite leads the ASO in a program perfect for first timers and devotees alike at Goolwa’s Centenary Hall. Opening with Haydn’s playful Symphony No.83, the ASO’s own Colin Prichard will take centre stage in one of the first virtuoso works for solo trombone, by none other than Mozart’s father Leopold. Concluding with Dvořák’s stunning Serenade for Winds, melding majestic classical melodies with the folk music of Moravia and Bohemia in a rich masterpiece for wind ensemble.
