2014 Fenner Conference on the Environment: Addicted to Growth? How to move to a Steady State Economy in Australia

WHAT: The 2014 Australian Academy of Science Fenner Conference on the Environment “Addicted to Growth? How to move to a Steady State Economy in Australia” will explore the vision and process for moving towards a steady state economy, where neither our population nor our use of energy, materials and land use keeps on growing. Speakers include: Dr Brian Czech, Dr Richard Denniss, Dr Carmen Lawrence, Prof. Robert Costanza, Prof. Herman Daly, Prof. Peter Victor Prof. Steve Dovers, Prof Ian Lowe, Dr Graham Turner, and A/Prof Mark Diesendorf.  More information.

WHEN: Thursday 2nd October (8:30am - 5pm) and Friday 3rd October (9am - 4:30pm) plus dinner on Thursday 2nd October at 6:30pm with Rod Quantock.
