 In association with

Appealing to HSAS and HERS assessors, building designers, architectsbuilders, other industry professionals and consumers this seminar provide valuable information and insight on how to make homes more sustainable. 2 CPD points will be awarded to assessors by ABSA and to building designers by BDA(NSW).

Australian Living's Five Keys to a Sustainable Home seminar showcases a recently completed 8 star home as a case study with the project manager and live-in owner, Cameron Rosen sharing his journey of designing, developing, building and living in this sustainable home.

ABSA HERS Assessor, Graham Hunt conducted the thermal comfort assessment for the home and believes assessors there are numerous benefits in store for those who attend the seminars. Not only will you see how assessors and industry professionals can contribute more effectively in the design stage as part of a project team, but you will also observe how a holistic cooperative approach can achieve higher ratings.

John Hatch, Vice President of BDA(NSW) says "BDA(NSW) has focused on the sustainability of buildings and the built environment as part of our ethos. The Australian Living Five Keys to a sustainable home seminar is compatible with this ethos and is supported by the BDANSW management committee as a further opportunity to enhance members’ knowledge and skills in designing for sustainability. This sustainable home seminar is also the perfect opportunity to enable building designers to introduce clients, builders, trades and consultants to the sustainable design outcomes achievable when we are all working from the same page."
