A 5-day biodynamic workshop to introduce participants to the language of biodynamics and the foundation practices ( click here for program) Different worldviews or lenses for looking at our agricultural, horticultural or gardening activities are identified; those of Newton, Goethe and Steiner, or chemical, biological and spiritual. We now offer the opportunity to have a deeper exploration into the spiritual science informing of our work.
Biodynamics arose from a series of lectures given by Rudolf Steiner on The spiritual foundations for the development of agriculture and it is important that we continue this spirit of development; one that everyone can participate in and become an effective contributor to the tasks and challenges of contemporary humanity while avoiding a descent into dogma.
In my view engaging with biodynamics can also become a path of individual growth.
Increasing numbers of individuals are turning to regenerative agriculture and my hope is that the biodynamic way of thinking can fructify and stimulate this movement into the future across the full spectrum of production choices.
We are fortunate to have Johannes and Sue Schuster to lead us into this world of potential. We will also have the opportunity to visit Martin Royds’ outstanding expression of regenerative agriculture at his Jillamatong property. The social and artistic will be enhanced with some storytelling with Iris Curteis.
I warmly invite you to be part of this next stage of taking biodynamics into the future.
Aye,
Hamish
