Phaedra by Euripides

Phaedra by Euripides

Love me 'till my heart stops. Love me 'till I'm dead.

When Phaedra falls in love with her stepson Hippolytus, it all goes really, really well and everyone lives long and fruitful lives. Here is a list of things that are in this play: savage chastity, erotic shame, ritual sacrifice, burning passion, synth-pop. Sydney's fearless new theatre company brings to death Euripides' tragic, art-punk heroine.
