CANCELLED - NDIS 101 - The Basics & Practical Skills
Navigating and understanding the NDIS systems and processes can be stressful and confusing. This workshop will assist OT's to understand the basics needed to work successfully within this scheme and the skills required to feel more prepared in taking on referrals and dealing with the NDIS. Perfect for new graduates and OT’s that are new to the NDIS world. In addition to NDIS navigation, this workshop will also include tips for surviving work within the NDIS, including a refresher in relation to the therapeutic use of self, case management, time management, the initial assessment and more. Overall this webinar was designed to empower OTs within this space and reduce risk of burnout within the NDIS scheme.
About the Presenter:
Hannah Spencer has worked within the field of Occupational therapy for 10 years. Hannah has a background in Psychology, prior to training as an Occupational Therapist. She has worked within a number of clinical sectors including: neurology, rehabilitation, orthopaedics, surgery, workplace injury and paediatrics. Hannah has held a number of roles within the NDIS space from higher management to clinical supervisor. She has also lectured at university and has a passion for clinical education, reflective practise and empowering therapists to find their passion.
