Peter Quinlan SC: Ethics & Taylor Swift

Peter Quinlan SC's

"I Knew You Were Trouble"
Ethical Lessons from the works of Taylor Swift
Central Park Lecture Theatre
Friday 29 August 2014, from 5pm

By popular demand, Peter provides a final encore performance of his acclaimed presentation from the Piddington 2014 Bali Law Conference.
Peter Quinlan SC is a barrister practising from Francis Burt Chambers in Perth. Peter practices widely in medical law, professional negligence and discipline, administrative and constitutional law, planning and heritage (including native title) and general commercial litigation. He was appointed silk in 2010, and is currently President of the WA Bar Association.
Taylor Swift  is a singer-songwriter and American sweetheart.  While at first blush, her lyrics strike no obvious chord with the Legal Profession Conduct Rules 2010 (WA), a closer analysis reveals much upon which a legal professional may ruminate.

Peter's presentation will be followed by drinks and light refreshments (included in registration).

Doors open  5:00pm
Presentation beings 5:15pm
Drinks and light refreshments from 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Attendees who stay for the duration of the substantive session may
claim 1 point in CPD Competency Area 2 - Ethics / Professional Responsibility.
