Asthma Educators Course - October
Wednesday 31st October to Friday 2 November 2018 

This 3 day course covers the latest advances in asthma management and care for Health Professionals.

Taking an holistic approach, the course is presented by experts and helps skill participants to be able to work effectively one on one with clients for effective management and health outcomes.

Presented by the team of the Lung Health Promotion Centre at the Alfred.

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

This activity has been approved for 21 CPD points.
You will be sent a predisposing activity prior to the course which will need to be completed and returned before the program commences.  To qualify for 21 points, participants must complete the predisposing and reinforcing activities and the feedback form.
 
With the national move towards accreditation of asthma educator courses we have now introduced a more formal assessment process for this course. The assessment is optional and will include the following:
  • Respiratory device use assessment using competency checklists
  • Asthma Management Questionnaire (AMQ)
  • Case study

Sessions generally kickoff at 8:30 for 8:45 am start finishing 5pm daily.
