Waisted : How Whale Bone Shaped the Female Form

Join us for a delicious night of KIS gin cocktails and curvy models in corsets as we unravel the fascinating history of getting ‘waisted’.

From Elizabethan England to the Edwardian S Bend silhouette, whalebone, or more precisely baleen, was used to mould an evolving ideal of the female physique.

After the talk, enjoy a final view of our exhibition Leviathan.
