Venue / Show Access Restrictions:
Audiences will meet at QVMAG Inveresk at the performance start time.
There is free parking for audiences at this location.
Audiences will then board buses located in bus zones in front of QVMAG Inveresk that will transport them to the main show location (this journey is part of the performance).
Nowhere is a walking performance with a 1.5-hour duration.
Audiences will walk (30 mins), remain on Tamar Island for a portion of the performance (30 minutes) and then return along the boardwalk (30 minutes).
Buses will then return audiences to QVMAG Inveresk upon conclusion of the show.
This performance is not recommended for people with extensive mobility issues due to the durational and travelling elements of the work.
We are, however, happy to work anyone with mobility issues on a case-by-case basis.
The Tamar Island Wetlands Reserve boardwalk is flat, but can be rocky/bumpy and muddy in some areas.
We will make our best efforts to ensure the performance is accessible to all people.
There are access friendly toilets at the Visitors Centre, and on Tamar Island, which suggests the Wetlands are suitable for those with wheelchairs.
Please be aware that all audience members take part in this performance willingly, with the understanding that this is an environment inhabited by wetland animals including the occasional (very occasional) snake. Given the noise and movement of the performance, it is unlikely you will come into contact with one. But please be warned that by purchasing this ticket, you are agreeing to be as responsible as possible for your own safety and will not hold Stompin Dance Company accountable for any injury.
Stompin will have fully qualified St Johns' Ambulance representatives on-site, and the Parks and Wildlife Service have plans in place to deal with any potential injury caused while at the Wetlands.
We don't mean to scare you, quite the opposite. Just a friendly an honest reminder that this environment is home for a lot of creatures, even the wiggly ones.
