Terms and Conditions  −  2020 BEYOND DANCE proudly supporting BEYOND BLUE

Please note these terms and conditions are also considered the rules and guidelines to attending and participating in this fundraising event.

Amateur performers only (non-professional) aged 8-18 yrs, unless otherwise indicated.

If you are ONLY entering Improvisation then you need not pre-enter via trybooking and can enter on the day by arriving early to register.

Each performer requires a separate booking entry and payment regardless of whether they are performing, solos, duos or groups, excepting those performers who are in a Student Teacher's Team, whereby the Student Teacher is the entrant and should make the relevant booking and payment for that item.

Performer age is as at day of the event for all items, excepting a duo (or trio etc.) in the Blue Challenge section where a group entry will perform under their combined "average age".

Limit of ONE any-style age solo per performer, but that same soloist may enter different solo routines in other feature sections (eg. do your contemporary solo in your any-style age group, then a jazz routine in Minute and a lyrical piece in Blue Chall. giving you 3 performances).

Up to two duo/trio items with different partnerships/routines are allowed (eg. one in age group and one in open age)

Duos/Groups can use the notes section on checkout to advise who they are dancing with, then their partner/s should do the same on their booking.

No tap shoes permitted (unless otherwise indicated), however softshoes acceptable.

No aerial acrobatics in any student choreography items including handsprings and/or partner lifts. (cartwheels & round-offs are permissible)

Protective kneepads are encouraged to be worn where appropriate (ask your dance teacher's advice if unsure).

Costumes are optional, however if performing a "National" dance it is encouraged to perform in traditional clothes/costume eg. Irish

If costumes are worn they must be age appropriate and high heels (excepting character/national shoes) are discouraged across all age groups.

Basic dancewear only please to be worn in all Improvisation sections (eg. leotard/tights/jazz shorts/tops/pants)

No repeat dances in any sections, unless otherwise indicated.

It is appreciated that time limits indicated for all items are adhered to.

All dance moves, music and lyrics must be age appropriate and contain no explicit language.

Music must be provided by the performer to backstage staff immediately before their item (format to be advised) and collected immediately after each performance. All music must be clearly named and labelled for each item. See our website for more information as it comes to hand with regard to music requirements.

Safe prop use is welcome in most items. Props must be able to be carried on and off quickly before and after by the performer. No props allowed in Minute to WinIT. Props must not contain glass or have sharp edges and must be made of light material undamaging to the stage floor.

Performers (&/or their parent/guardian) are responsible for the safety of their belongings at all times.

Program will be provided by email to each performer in advance of the event, however timing may be subject to change.

Adjudicator decisions are final.

All performers attend and perform at their own risk.

Please note that there are no refunds, but transference of entry to another performer is possible with prior approval from event organiser prior to event.
