Terms and Conditions  −  Churchlands SHS P&C Art Exhibition 2020

Opening Night - Friday 5th June, 5.30pm to 7.30pm (public welcome)
Exhibition Open -Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June from 10:00am to 4.00pm.

The exhibition is open to emerging and professional artists and students at Churchlands Senior High School. There is no theme required for entry and the Art Committee is calling on artists across the community to present works of excellence from varied media and practices including painting, drawing, photography, collage, ceramics, sculpture, glass, textiles and jewellery.

Entry is only on-line via https://www.trybooking.com/BIFQR. Buy 1 ticket and complete the required Additional Information. Please note the titles of your submitted work at the time of entry, as once you've submitted the information Trybooking does not allow you to review it.
Entries close Friday 15th May 2020 at 5pm.

Art at Churchlands Facebook page and Instagram are two of the ways the exhibition and your work is publicised. If you would like your artwork to receive additional promotion via Art at Churchlands Facebook page please send digital photographs of your work to art@churchlandspc.com.au.
Please name the digital photo file your LastNameFirstInitial_TitleofArtwork.jpg e.g. ‘SmithJ_SunsetDreaming.jpg The details re size, media and price will be copied from the Trybooking Additional Information and put on Facebook.

The delivery date is the public holiday Monday 1st June 2020 from 1.00pm to 5.00pm at Churchlands Senior High School Visual Arts Centre off Memory Place, Churchlands. Please note that no late submissions will be received after this deadline.
On delivery, please provide a one or two page CV including photos of your artwork that you are exhibiting.
For Churchlands Senior High School students ONLY the delivery deadline is Tuesday 2nd June 2020.

All works must be clearly labeled and ready to exhibit. All 2-D artwork must be ready for hanging with 2 x D-rings or hanging cord attached. Labels must be placed on the back of each artwork in the lower right-hand corner for clear identification. Labels are available at https://www.churchlands.wa.edu.au/our-community/p-c/art-exhibition
Any special display requests or equipment will have to be discussed with the Coordinator.
Artists working in 2D and larger 3D can submit a maximum of 3 artworks, which should not exceed 1m x 1.2m each.

Only artists making jewellery, textiles, small glassware or other small series may submit UP TO 10 PIECES ONLY TO FIT A MAXIMUM DISPLAY AREA OF 1M X 1.2M. Please submit the details of the works on the Trybooking form.
No artworks requiring electric or battery power can be accepted.

All artwork must be the original work of the artist and NOT previously exhibited at Churchlands. PLEASE DO NOT resubmit previously exhibited artwork with a new/different name. The Art Exhibition Committee has the right to refuse artworks.

There is a flat rate installation fee payable of $20 per artist, regardless of media or the number of artworks exhibited. The Churchlands Senior High School P&C will retain a 20% commission on all sales at the exhibition. Please ensure that the sale price placed on artworks includes the 20% commission. If the work is Not For Sale please write NFS as the price.

If you would like to donate an artwork to Churchlands Senior High School P&C where 100% of the proceeds go to Churchlands Senior High School P&C, please write “donation” on the Entry Form. Please indicate if you would like it to be sold for a fixed price or sold at a silent auction with no reserve price.

Please collect any unsold artwork on Sunday 7th June 2020 between 4.00pm and 5.00pm.

All reasonable care will be taken in the handling of submitted work. However, no responsibility will be accepted by the organisers for the loss or damage of artworks. It is recommended that artists take out suitable insurance.

The Community Art Exhibition at Churchlands Senior High School has been a very successful event over the years with each year hosting unique works created by artists within Churchlands and the broader community.
The opening event is Friday 5th June 2020, 5.30pm-7:30pm. Entry is free. We look forward to the company of you, your family and friends at the opening event in the Visual Arts Centre off Memory Place, Churchlands when complimentary finger food will be available. Wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for sale at reasonable prices.
Entertainment will be provided by students from Churchlands SHS’s renowned Music Program.
