Terms and Conditions  −  Isobel Anderson Awards 2021

A. Entries close on 7th February 2021; or when classes are full. Bookings are not transferable to another activity or student.
B. Participants must be studying the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus, be residing in NSW, and be enrolled with a financial Registered RAD teacher.
C. By submitting this entry, participants acknowledge they enter in good health and will abide by the rules and regulations set. Entrants enter at their own risk.
D. Students must have completed a vocational examination in 2020 at the level they wish to enter.
E. If a student has entered two examinations in 2020 they must enter the Awards at the highest level. Previous winners from 2020 are not permitted to re-enter the same section in 2021.
F. Students must be in uniform (as specified on our website – on the flyer for this event). Those who do not comply may be disqualified from the event.
G. The adjudicators’ decision is final and no communication regarding their decision will be entered into.
H. The RAD and/or the NSW Panel reserves the right to alter the advertised program/faculty/venue/method of delivery without prior notice; and to change the mix of classes depending on the entries received at closing date. The information in this and other printed or electronic brochures/notices was correct at the time of print.
I. The RAD and/or the NSW Panel reserves the right to alter the delivery method or cancel the event if necessary if the event fails to attract a sufficient number of entries and/or due to a change in Australian or state government regulations regarding COVID-19. The event may be cancelled if changes to regulations mean the event can no longer be delivered safely; results in a significant withdrawal of entries; or that the event is no longer financially viable. Under these circumstances, a full refund will be processed if the event is cancelled by the RAD.
J. Entry fees due to withdrawal are non-refundable unless a written request is made to the Event Organiser. Refunds will only be made in accordance with the following terms:
• Withdrawals made prior to the advertised event closing date will incur a 10% administration fee.
• Withdrawals made after the closing date and prior to the event will be refunded 50% on presentation of a medical certificate.
• No refunds will be made for non-attendance on the day of the event.
L. As agreed at the time of booking, unless otherwise directed by the parent/guardian it is accepted that photographic and filmed images taken during this event may be used for RAD promotional/reporting/archival purposes; and are not for external use or sale. Candidates or their parents/guardians (if the candidate is under 18) may be required to sign a Media Relase Form.
M. Entrants may be called upon for media interviews arranged by RAD Australia in relation to this event.
N. All participants are required to comply with the Code of Conduct (if applicable) and conditions of the event; including any COVID-19 policies and procedures in place at the time of the event. Failure to do so may result in a participant being asked to leave. The RAD reserves the right to refuse entry to any participant prior to, or during the event. No refund will be provided in this instance.
O. All pre-existing medical conditions must be identified at the time of booking and if required a Medical Declaration Form completed and submitted to the Event Organiser to confirm the entry. Participants take part in events and activities at their own risk.
P. Event Organisers are not responsible for the administration of medication, other than that required in an emergency by a paramedic or medical professional as set out in clause I. It is the participant’s and/or parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to ensure that all appropriate medical and health arrangements are in place for the participant prior to attendance at the event or activity.
Q. In the event of a medical emergency, you agree to Event Organisers obtaining medical assistance as is required and agree to meet the expense thereof. The organisers will give consent, where it is impractical to communicate with parents/guardians, to the participant receiving medical assistance and treatment as may be deemed necessary by a first aider or a medical professional.
R. The RAD has a Safeguarding Policy and procedures in place. While physical contact will be minimised, and physical distancing measures maintained where required by government COVID-19 restrictions, some physical contact may be necessary if a member of staff needs to demonstrate exercises during classes or administer first aid. S. RAD Australia has a COVID Safety Policy in place and COVIDSafe Guidelines for student events and activities. All participants, and parents/guardians for participants under 18 years of age, are required to read and adhere to RAD and venue procedures for safe management of the event in line with state and federal government regulations. By entering a student into these Awards, you acknowledge that the student or parent/guardian (if the student is under 18) have read and agree to abide by these and any other Terms and Conditions listed. This includes the requirements to self-exclude if symptomatic, self-isolating or quarantining; to sign in to all venues for the purposes of contact tracing; and to wear masks if/where required.
T. The Organisers will not be held responsible for injury or loss while attending scheduled class/classes which it operates while participants are at the venue/s. Parents/ Guardians are responsible for students’ travel to and from the venue/s. Students must be collected by a parent/guardian immediately after the completion of their class.

V. Where required, for the purposes of COVID-19 contact tracing, RAD Australia may collect participant and audience contact details in line with government guidelines. All data collected for COVID-19 contact tracing purposes will be maintained securely for a minimum period of 28 days and no longer than 2 months to assist with contact tracing. If requested these details will be released to health authorities only for the purposes of contact tracing. Contact details will not be used for marketing purposes or released to any other third parties.
W. Participants who reach the Commissioned Choreography Workshop stage of the Awards acknowledge and agree they are aware that the choreography taught remains copyright of the original choreographer; under licence to RAD Australia for exclusive use. Choreography cannot be used by participants for personal use; nor provided to any third party without express permission of the choreographer and RAD Australia.
