Please note the following advice with regard to the opening of the museum during the current Coronavirus pandemic:
As per Victorian Government requirements, all visitors age 18 and above must have present a vaccine passport or valid exemption.
Please ensure you bring a mask: the museum has a number of indoor areas and visitors must wear masks in indoor settings.
Like so many businesses, our ability to open is dependent on the availability of staff. In the event of staff being unavailable due to having to isolate, we may be forced to cancel a scheduled opening day at the Museum at short notice.
We have taken advice to reduce the risk of transmission by opening doors and windows on indoor areas, and as such we are not operating air conditioning. For this reason, in the event of a day of high or extreme temperature (i.e. a forecast maximum of 36 degrees or higher) we may opt to cancel a scheduled opening day at the Museum, in the interests of the health of our volunteers and visitors.
For these reasons, we strongly recommend checking our website or Facebook page for updates on the day of your visit. In the event of closure, we will offer rain checks or refunds on all bookings for that day.
