Anthony Locascio - Pappou

Saturday 15 June 2024
Anthony Locascio's Pappou (grandfather) immigrated to Australia from Greece in the 1950s, ferried over to become the top goalkeeper in Australian soccer. This dream came to an abrupt end when Pappou's fist had a chance encounter with a referree's head. Being a man was different back then. In 2024, his grandson's dream of being a stand-up comedian hangs in the balance, as he contends with the challenges of a modern man – staying off the vapes, raising kittens and defeating the corruption of world football from the safety of a podcast microphone. In his 2024 show, Australia's king of post-ethnic comedy returns with a show juxtaposing these two men to determine whether Anthony is carrying on Pappou's legacy by chasing his dream, or if he just should've become a doctor like his grandfather always wanted. Anthony Locascio is one of Australian comedy's rising stars. Blending sharp joke writing with musings on his ethnic background, Anthony is best known for his unique storytelling.

Jeremy Dooley - No Time For Games

Saturday 6 July 2024
Jeremy Dooley is in a hurry. Some people have time for playtime, but Jeremy Dooley has no time for games, that’s why Dooley is bringing his latest show No Time For Games to Darwin in 2024! No Time For Games takes the piss, and looks at the ridiculousness of life — from names of modern children, to cringey Christmas carols, and what happens when your significant other moves in… One of Australia’s fastest rising comedians, Dooley’s chaotic brand of jokes and storytelling saw him sell out his 2022-‘23 runs at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the inaugural Geelong Comedy Festival. In 2023 he headlined to sold out audiences across Europe, and has shared the stage with Dave O’Neal, Lizzy Hoo, Tom Ballard, Bev Killick, Jarryd Goundrey, Daniel Connell and many more. No Time For Games is an experience not to be missed.
