A Conversation on Safety, Wellbeing and Daily Living
This session invites seniors, carers, family members, and support professionals to explore the impact of clutter on daily life, safety, and emotional well-being.
As we age, our homes often fill with memories, treasured items, practical things, and clutter. We often struggle with what’s important to keep and what can be let go of. Our ‘stuff’ can reflect our stories, our struggles, and our strengths.
Together we'll explore:
· How clutter affects daily living
· How clutter can impact safety and wellbeing – including risks like falls, fire hazards and access to care
· How clutter connects to grief, change and the emotions behind what we hold on to
· How to gently and respectfully make spaces safer without losing what matters
· How support can be offered with dignity and understanding
Whether you're a senior living with clutter, supporting someone who is, or working in the community, this conversation offers practical tips and emotional insight. It’s a chance to reflect, without judgment, toward understanding, one story, one room, one step at a time.
