Getting to Know You: Lessons in Early Relational Health from Infants and Caregivers.
Claudia M. Gold, MD is a paediatrician and writer who practiced general and behavioural paediatrics for over 20 years and now specializes in early childhood mental health. She speaks frequently to a variety of audiences including parents and professionals.
Dr Gold's presentation will address core early relational health principles including the repair theory of human development, parental reflective functioning, the healing power of safety, and the ways that relationships change the brain and body. Contemporary developmental science research will be integrated with clinical stories to reveal the power of playing in the uncertainty, both to promote healthy development and to heal from adversity and loss.
