In 1 interactive day, young people will learn the first aid skills to help their mates. From CPR to overdose, Party Ready gives teens the know-how to respond with confidence. They’ll walk away with a certificate of participation & showbag with fun merchandise & additional resources. Topics include: Standard drinks & BAC Drugs & their effects First Aid action plan: DRSABCD Calling 000 Mental health crisis first aid Practical activities: demonstrating recovery position, CPR practice on manikins, Defib practice Places strictly limited Lunch & snacks provided Parents & guardians unable to attend

The DRSABCD and Johnny Bear will come together in a fun-filled yet first aid minded program from the experts at St John Ambulance. Sessions are 1.5 hours each, and include: -Age appropriate first aid lesson (divided into either years P-2, or 3-6) -Hands on activities -A visit from Johnny Bear -Explore an ambulance They will walk away with some goodies, first aid skills and some fun memories to last a lifetime! Depending on age, first aid lessons may include: -Recognising Danger -Checking for a Response -Sending for Help (calling 000) -Checking Airway & Breathing (3-6 only) -CPR and Defibrillation (3-6 only) Note: a parent or guardian is required to attend for the duration of the program All staff & volunteers hold a current WWCC Only children aged 5-12 (Years P-6) are permitted to attend No refunds will be issued, including for change of mind
