Singer of the Year - Qualifying Heats 2026 Saturday 12 September 2026 2pm to 5pm The Singer of the Year Qualifying Heats is a FREE entry event. Come, hear and see and add to the atmosphere as the entrants perform before adjudicators and to qualify for the Singer of The Year Competition Finals. Three qualifying Finalists will a share in a cash prize pool of $10,000 with trophies. You will be notified by email of the actual program time closer to the actual date. Singer of the Year Finals at the Ian Woolf Auditorium, De Young Performing Arts Centre, Carey Grammar School Barkers Road, Kew – Three qualifying singers perform with the Melbourne Welsh Male Choir and 2025 competition winner “Competition within a Concert” for the $10,000 plus total prize pool.

The renowned Melbourne Welsh Male Choir invites you to our annual Christmas Concert. Our choir sings in the Welsh choral tradition known to local and international audiences and adding stirring contemporary and familiar festive pieces for you to sing along to. We're joined by stunning soloists adding to the joy of Christmas. Please note there is limited parking on-site - ample parking in Koonung Road and Blackburn Square SC.
