In this workshop, which will be run over two 3-hour sessions, the Courtly Arts Performers invite you to dip a toe into the history, theory and choreography of Baroque dance, including: • the origins, contemporary context and legacy of Baroque dance • different Baroque dance styles and the steps associated with them • choreographic notation • learning an authentic Baroque dance Please note: this is a two-session workshop. You ticket ($100) includes both sessions. Prior dance experience is recommended, but not essential. No partner required. Casual clothes to be worn, not costumes :)
