Dear Class of 2021, It's time to get ready for your 5 Year Reunion.  Thursday 4 June 2026 The evening will be held at Bialik in the Bursztyn Family Hub, Alan Finkel Launch Lab. There will be a well-stocked bar, food and the opportunity to walk through the school to see what has changed. We have arranged a table at Governor's Hall from 8pm so you can continue reminiscing well into the evening.  There is a small booking fee attached to help make this a night to remember. We invite you to discuss workshopping a submission to the Royal Commission based on your unique experiences since October 7, 2023. Nibbles, drinks, and a cosy chair await, as we come together for an intimate evening of sharing stories, experiences, and connection as young Jewish people navigating university and employment environments. The essence is to record history, submit, if you wish to the Royal Commission, but essentially to mark this period of history with your experience. Any submissions can be anonymous, of course, and we are happy to do this as a team submission if that is preferred. We will be joined by Tanya Cherny from The Dor Foundation, as well as other Bialik College community members, including Jeremy, to share and to support.

It’s time to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate! Join us for the Bialik College Class of 2011 - 15 Year Reunion as we bring together those who were part of the 2011 cohort for an evening of memories, laughter and shared stories.  The evening will be held in the Bursztyn Family Hub, Alan Finkel Launch Lab. At our “Preparing for Prep” Evening, you will receive practical ideas, tips and strategies that you can use to support your child in the areas of numeracy, literacy and your child’s ongoing Jewish journey. The format of the evening will involve three ‘mini workshops’, led by coaches at Bialik who are both educational experts in these fields and who lead workshops for teachers in other schools.

At our “Preparing for Prep” Evening, you will receive practical ideas, tips and strategies that you can use to support your child in the areas of numeracy, literacy and your child’s ongoing Jewish journey. The format of the evening will involve three ‘mini workshops’, led by coaches at Bialik who are both educational experts in these fields and who lead workshops for teachers in other schools.

This Payment Form is to be completed for all students who wish to undertake instrumental music tuition in 2026. Individual Music Tuition is an optional program. Lessons are pre-paid per semester. If you want to learn two instruments then please purchase TWO TICKETS. Please complete one booking per child - so if you are enrolling two children please go in and book again. Please note that Prep and Year 1 students may enrol in 30 minute lessons for the following instruments ONLY: Piano and Percussion, Violin, Cello and Voice. Tenor Saxophone, Trombone, French Horn and Euphonium are not recommended for students below Year 4 (due to lung capacity and weight of instruments).

This year’s Ski Camp will be held at Mt Buller from Sunday 26th July to Friday 31st of July. The camp will be limited to 25 students only and students of Years 6-8 are invited to apply. We welcome students of all ability levels, including first-timers, beginners and intermediate skiers as the camp is designed to accommodate a range of skill levels.

We are privileged to welcome again Dr Daniel Heller from the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation (ACJC) at Monash University, who has recently been working with our Year 10 students as part of the Adva Leadership program on “Navigating Challenging Conversations.” This program, which is now embedded as part of the Year 10 curriculum, has been generously sponsored by the Bruder family. Dr Heller brings extensive expertise in Jewish studies, education, and psychology-informed approaches to communication, and is a key contributor to the Monash Brave Conversations Project - an initiative designed to equip young people with the skills to engage thoughtfully and respectfully with complex and often emotionally charged issues. In his work with our students, Dr Heller has focused on helping them navigate increasingly challenging conversations around Jewish identity, Israel, and antisemitism, particularly in today’s highly polarised social, educational, and online environments. His sessions explore the importance of “brave conversations,” grounded in both contemporary research and Jewish tradition, where respectful disagreement, critical thinking, and emotional awareness are seen as essential skills. Developing the confidence, knowledge, and skills to respond with clarity, resilience, and empathy is more important than ever.

This year, guided by the 2025 theme, that every dream has a path, students explored what it means to come from somewhere, to carry something forward, and to walk with purpose, creativity and generosity toward who they are becoming.

We have pleasure in inviting Grandparents to a special Grandparents’ Morning Tea. There will be two of these events, one for Primary Grandparents (Years 2-5) on Tuesday 19 May from 11am - 12.30pm and one for Kinder 3 – Year 1 Grandparents on 9.30am - 11am.
