About Art After School is a weekly program hosted during the school term designed to develop the conceptual and practical artistic skills of students. By the completion of term, participants will have experimented with different mediums and produced a variety of works inspired by celebrated artists. When: Tuesdays 5.45 - 7pm Where: Camden Civic Centre Commencing: 29 July 2026, 8 week class Cost: $175 Student grade materials provided. Please only enrol your child into their corresponding age group according to the age they are at the time of enrolling. We ask that all participants please bring: • An art smock or paint shirt • A water bottle • An A4 Visual Art Diary with the students name written clearly on the cover If your child has previously attended Art After School: • Students are welcome to bring their books from that term if it is less than half full • If students have one side of their art bag still blank from a previous term, we encourage them to bring it in to decorate as their term bag. Please note, all parents are expected to remain in the vicinity of the facility for the duration of the lesson. If a child struggles to remain on task during class parents may be asked to assist staff to ensure the class is delivered in a manner that is beneficial to all participants.

Mini Market is a monthly market for markers and producers of hand made art. Stallholder numbers are limited, please bring your own table, chair and gazebo. Space is limited, most sites are restricted to a single trestle table. Associations/networks will be provided additional space in negotiation with the ABAG staff. Registration is required.

Join us for the final Creative Collab of the year at Alan Baker Art Gallery. Enjoy an exclusive preview of Camden Art Collections Part 3, take part in a fun and accessible portrait-inspired activity, and connect with local artists, creatives and cultural workers. The exhibition brings together works acquired from 2004 to the present day, including Camden Art Prize acquisitions, donations, gifts and selected works by renowned Australian artist Alan D. Baker. Featuring a diverse body of work by 28 artists, it offers insight into the recent development of the Camden Art Collection and its continuing value, history and place within Camden’s cultural life. The exhibition includes works by Alan D. Baker, known for his portraits, landscapes and floral still-life paintings, alongside artists such as Doreen Shaw, Heather Mitchell and Neville Connor. As the final exhibition in the Camden Art Collections series, Part 3 reflects more than five decades of collecting and sharing art with the community. The evening is also an opportunity to reflect on the year, celebrate Camden’s creative community and share ideas for future Creative Collab gatherings. No artistic experience is required, just bring your curiosity and creative spirit.
