Since its creation, Huntington’s Victoria continues to work tirelessly to not only raise awareness but also provide crucial support, resources, and a sense of belonging to those affected by Huntington’s disease regardless of their location. Through its innovative programs, fundraising events and educational initiatives, Huntington’s Victoria continues to lead the way in providing the community with practical strategies and support until there are targeted treatments and eventually a cure.
Annual Gala Ball

This premiere annual event is about fun and celebration, but also for learning about the impact that Huntington's disease has on individuals and families. Attendees include medical and research partners, allied health professionals, corporate partners, supporters and most importantly the Huntington’s community. If you have not attended a Huntington’s Victoria Gala Ball before, please do so. You are most welcome, and we would love to see you there. The theme for this year is 'Masquerade,' and you can interpret it as you like... Wear a beautiful gown or rock a masquerade mask... We cannot wait to see what you come up with!
You can expect: 3-course meal, drinks, music, live auction, raffle and MORE!

Move 4 HD is a dance initiative that celebrates an individual’s ability to move and participate. By doing so, the initiative aims to shift our focus from inability to ability, fostering a sense of value for affected individuals within this community. Current research demonstrates that people who are at risk, gene positive or diagnosed with Huntington’s disease can reduce the impact of the disease and delay progression by staying physically, mentally and socially active.
You can participate by either joining our Zumba classes which will be held throughout July (dates TBC), organising your own Move 4 HD event or sharing your own activity via Instagram, Facebook or Huntington’s Community Connect, inspiring other members of your community to participate in #Move4HD.

Internationally, May is the awareness-raising month for Huntington’s disease.
The Light It Up 4 HD campaign aims to shine a light on Huntington’s disease and the impact it has on our community. We have been fortunate to receive ongoing significant support from our partners across metropolitan and regional Victoria who continue to light up their iconic buildings in blue in support of Huntington’s Disease May Awareness month.
Join us this May 22nd as we get together at the Federation Square Swanston Street Forecourt for pizza and fun as the city of Melbourne lights up in blue before our eyes. Let us know if you are coming today!
What to expect: Pizza, beautiful sights, and lots of fun!

This health and fitness event will celebrate everyone’s ability to move and participate. Let’s shift our focus from exclusion to inclusion and inability to ability and dance the afternoon away.
With the event starting at 11.30 AM the first 30 minutes is dedicated for children to dance and have fun. From 12.00 till 2.00 PM the adults have a chance to shake their booty.
